Scalp micropigmentation is a single craft — thousands of micro-deposits of cosmetic pigment into the upper dermis. Applied differently depending on what's happening up top.
For visible hair loss across the top, sides, or crown — and anyone who's decided the buzzed-head look is the goal.
Full-scalp SMP creates the appearance of closely-cropped hair across the entire scalp. We map a hairline appropriate to your face and age, then build density evenly back to the crown. The result reads as a clean, freshly-shaved head — confident, sharp, low-maintenance.
Typical: 2–3 sessions, 7–10 days apart. 2–4 hours each.
You still have hair — it's just gotten thinner. The scalp shows through. Light catches it the wrong way.
Density SMP places pigment between the hairs you still have, thickening the visual impression without touching the strands themselves. It works under your hair, not on top of it. Wear your hair however you wear it — SMP just makes it look like there's more of it.
Typical: 2–3 sessions. Custom pigment match to your existing hair colour.
Areata, totalis, traction — alopecia comes in many forms, and SMP is one of the most effective ways to restore a natural-looking baseline.
For patchy areas, we blend pigment so the gaps disappear into the surrounding scalp. For total or near-total loss, we build a full-scalp impression that reads as a fresh buzz cut. Either way, the conversation starts with honest expectations — and a careful look at your scalp.
Typical: 2–3 sessions. Plans vary by alopecia type and pattern — discussed in your consultation.
FUT strip scars. FUE punch dots. Accident, surgical, and burn scars — anything that broke skin and left the scalp showing through.
Scar tissue takes pigment differently than healthy skin. Years working with transplant scars means we know how to feather pigment so the eye stops settling on them. Some scars need extra patience — we'll be straight with you in the consultation.
Typical: 2–3 sessions. Send clear photos through the quote form for an honest assessment.
SMP for women is its own discipline — pigment placement, hairline shape, and density patterns specifically suited to female hair loss.
Whether you're dealing with widening parts, thinning at the crown, or diffuse loss across the top, density SMP fills in between the hair you still have so the scalp stops showing through. Designed to work with how women style their hair — not against it.
Typical: 2–3 sessions. Pigment custom-matched to your hair colour.
Send a few photos through the quote form. Huber will tell you which treatment fits — or whether SMP is the right call at all.
